Restoring the Signal Flyers

On Tuesday, I’ll be sitting in on an interview about the exhibit to help drum up some community participation. In preparation for the reporter and to help the public, I put together a few flyers. One is a simple flyer meant to be put on the wall to quickly get started. Another is a directory of configured numbers to call. Two pages provide a detailed history of the project, digging a little deeper into the inspiration and technology. Last is another wall flyer encouraging people to record their experience of the Royal Visit.

Most of the time when I’m working with ChatGPT, I write a ton of information through back-and-forth conversations and shape my goal. These flyers went through a few iterations, but having a graphical presentation looks much better than what I could come up with, and reduces the workload of trying to produce a ton of stuff in such a short time.

On top of this, I’ve been updating the website to look a little more presentable. Originally, it was a crude, bare-bones website for adding and updating data. It wasn’t friendly – it just worked. I’ve created a template with ChatGPT based on photos of the exhibit. It came up with a nice template with graphical borders and shaded buttons with icons. The hard part is breaking all those pieces into individual parts and creating HTML and CSS files. The graphical borders are a bit tricky as I have to keep flipping the same corner in four directions. Buttons have multiple layers for a button’s horizontal background, then a gradient that overlaps a textured background. On top of that, I’m having trouble with the responsive layout.

The certificate for phone.lewismoten.com keeps getting issued for one of my other subdomains, which gives an error any time you visit the website. I may need to take over as the nameserver for lewismoten.com, as I’ve tried many different approaches and the remote nameserver seems to be at the center of my problems with WHM, Apache, and AutoSSL.

It’s late. I’m tired. It’s 3am and I have an interview in a few hours.

‘Night internet.
