I build things that work – for people, not just for machines – and sometimes they even behave.

I’m a technologist, civic volunteer, archival researcher, occasional public speaker, and – on certain days – a literal clown making balloon animals for kids at community events. My work lives at the intersection of code, community, and history: I build systems, preserve records, question policy when needed, and try to leave things better informed than I found them.

What I Do

Modern Development, Classic Discipline
I build and refine software with a foundation that predates app-stores and dark-mode trends. Full-stack JavaScript, PHP, Node, C#, React, Angular, and database work – plus a habit of making systems understandable to the humans who depend on them.
Bridging Old and New
I still write for microcontrollers and vintage IC chips like the 6502, and I retrofit legacy devices with modern intelligence. (Yes, I drive a 1976½ CitiCar that now charges like a modern EV.)

Civic & Cultural Work
I serve on the Board of Trustees at Samuels Public Library and on the Archives Committee at the Warren Heritage Society, helping preserve, digitize, and defend public access to information. I also attend and speak at local government meetings, often addressing transparency, FOIA compliance, and public-interest policy. I’ve been told that I’m a technocratic moderate. I started drafting a 12-point memo explaining why that label is 14% inaccurate, based on recent meeting minutes. I’ve sponsored many events and often volunteer in my community with various nonprofit organizations.
Creative & Community Projects
I produce AI-assisted music and narrative albums, design tabletop games, host a LEGO Users Group, and volunteer as a clown doing balloon animals at local events and participate in parades. My work leans toward things that educate, delight, or reduce confusion at scale.

Why This Site Exists

This space is first and foremost a creative outlet – a place to think in public, to document what I build, and to put ideas somewhere more permanent than a passing conversation. I use it to record projects, arguments, experiments, mistakes, and works-in-progress so they aren’t trapped in notebooks or memory.
If others read it – whether they are allies, critics, officials, employers, or future collaborators – they are stepping into the archive of my thought, not the other way around. The point is expression and record-keeping; any influence it has on others is a side effect, not the mission.
