A Record of Community Milestones
The Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce hosts ribbon-cutting events throughout the year to celebrate new businesses, expansions, and community organizations. I often take part—sometimes bringing the scissors and ribbon, other times simply helping hold the line as we mark the moment.
These events are frequently covered by The Royal Examiner under Chamber News and shared on YouTube, often followed by interviews with the business owners.
One thing I didn’t fully appreciate before joining the Chamber is how important it is for people to show up. A ribbon cutting isn’t just ceremonial—it’s a visible sign that the community supports the people taking a risk to build something here.
Over time, you start to recognize familiar faces. Conversations build. Connections form. And what begins as a simple gathering becomes part of the community’s ongoing story.

Attended a ribbon-cutting event at Family Pharmacy Services as new ownership took over the only independent pharmacy and honored well-respected staff to cut the ribbon and continue the service the community has come to know. read more

A ribbon-cutting at Studio 330 marked more than a new makerspace opening. After the book challenge controversy, the Mellon grant, Library of the Year recognition, and Erin Rooney’s leadership showed Samuels Library turning toward renewal. read more
