I believe I purchased this Jingle Bell Stick at my local Target store in early December 2025. This may also be called a Jingle Stick, Bell Stick, Sleigh Bell Stick, or a Jingle Bell Shaker. There were a variety of small Christmas-themed music instruments. It was unique enough that I decided it was a sound investment for little cost.

Many of the smaller instruments I use to play with my dogs and see how they react to new sounds. As with most unpitched percussion instruments, there isn’t much of a tune that you can play with the shaken idiophone, where sound comes from the bells themselves, other than a background rhythm accompaniment to music, preferably Christmas or winter-themed music.

This is suitable for children ages 3 or older, as the bells are attached to a cord. The bells could be dislodged or pulled off, and are small enough to be a choking hazard.
