Mom said she learned about her diagnosis of having stage IV cancer on Christmas Eve of 2012. She had breast cancer in the past that was eradicated, and she regularly went for mammograms. This came out of left field. She was told that the cancer was back and had spread to her bones, liver, and brain. There was a large tumor the size of a golf ball in her brain.
