Back in October, I received my Hillbilly Degree. Although I had already paid for and taken the degree, I had no clan. Tonight was the first meeting after, since they only meet on every fifth Friday.

I had a few mishaps along the way and was a bit late. Upon my arrival, I handed the secretary my lifetime dues and officially joined the club.

At one point, a few of us became Turtles inducted into the Ancient & Honorable Order of Turtles (also known as the Turtle Club), which is not part of Masonry or the Shriners, but is often carried out by them.

There was also a white-elephant gift exchange afterward, which I decided not to join this time.
