Summary

The dream begins as a quiet walk with a parent and sibling through a childhood area now transformed: paved roads, signage, new buildings, and a stark park with vending machines and few trees. The familiarity feels curated and slightly hollow. A chance encounter with the heir to a large parcel of land sparks the idea of gathering everyone who once lived there, but the journey to do so feels long, conditional, and out of reach.
The path detours to a church guarded by towering, slow-moving, misshapen figures who initially seem threatening but reveal themselves as oddly hospitable. As directions are sought, a hidden shower behind a sliding wall appears—an apparent shortcut between realities. Warnings are ignored, transitions blur, and the dream resolves with movement between alternate and normal worlds, without certainty about which one truly belongs.

Analysis
This dream reflects reconciliation with change. Familiar places become simplified and commercial, while guardians of transition appear distorted but kind. The sliding wall suggests temptation to bypass emotional processing. Moving between realities mirrors the struggle to accept that returning home rarely restores what once was.

I jumped those up in Delray. And that, my dad and my brother, they thought we were walking down the roads. We were looking at how the place had changed. The roads were now paved. There are road signs.
There are new buildings being built. There was a park that had vending machines, picnic tables, a playground. There was all grass, no trees, hardly any trees. It went down to a lake with a lot of boats over there. And there was a small store there. We went past that and we went to go see a movie. Somehow, I was attracted to that. I started talking to this one guy. It turns out he was the son of the person who purchased a lot of land. I don’t know if it was Lot 42, but in the dream it’s what it was called. Anyhow, I have to wait for this guy to come back with me.
I mean, I need everybody else who used to live there. If he agreed, I would put the journey. It was just so long. There were different things. We arrived at this church with a lot of these big giant people out in front. They moved slowly and were deformed. They were coming towards us. One of the guys approached us and went to handshake or something. We started to talk to him.
The other people turned out to be friendly towards us. We were trying to find out where the shortcut was to get back to where we were going. There was a shower that opened. We looked through the cage. There was a bathroom shower.
The wall just slides open. They were trying to get us to not go through it. We came back to the church. We came back into an alternate reality. We came out of the alternate reality into the normal reality.
