TekMetrics: Written English
Brainbench: Written English

Growing up, English was never the subject that came easily to me. I struggled with it through most of school and even failed an English class in high school. So when TekMetrics offered a Written English certification exam, I didn’t approach it with any grand intention of redemption. It was simply available and free, so I decided to try.

But passing it meant more than I expected.

That certification wasn’t just another line in a transcript. It gently rewrote a narrative I’d carried for years: that English was something I “wasn’t good at.” It proved I could assess structure, grammar, clarity, tone, and comprehension in a measurable, professional way. Whether I meant to prove anything to myself, I did. And it felt surprisingly meaningful.
