This weekend, my old router (WRT54GS v.4) stopped responding. The good news is that this gave me a reason to upgrade. I headed over to Best Buy to look at my options. There were many other brands, but for some reason I am always most comfortable with Linksys. I have had problems with other brands in the past. I had a tough time weighing the differences between WRT310N and WRT160N. The boxes seemed to advertise much of the same things. I went with the WRT310N. I also setup my network to use WPA for some tighter security. My laptop and all of the game systems (Wii, PS3, XBox 360) worked fine with the router. Really old network adapters on other computers could not detect the router. From Dedric Mauriac via blogHUD.com
