Description: This was the first picture that I took with my web cam. It was a black and white camera. Back then, even b&w was expensive and web cams were not too popular.

Accessibility Description (Generated for Search & Screen Readers): This black and white image features a young individual sitting at a table, displaying a thoughtful expression. A nice self-portrait, it came out well. Do you currently have a web cam?
Years ago, I had one of the early Logitech ones, the intent being to improve communications with friends/relatives on the East Coast…
But of course it meant other people had to buy web cams as well! And use them! Ha, so mine was underutilized. (Now it’s probably sitting in a box in the garage somewhere.) - lewismoten: Monday, September 26, 2005 at 9:14:46 PM
I have a web-cam, but I keep it disconnected because the microphone inside really interfears with podcasting.
Do you remember video phones? They came out around the 1990’s, but no one really bought into the idea. I think it is the same with webcams. It is sort of an invasion of privacy.
