Nice hand-crafted board! I’ve loved Pente since the early ’80’s, and have recently returned to playing it after a short(reaccuring) period of Chess fever(many chess players like the game). I’m still impressed at the complexity of the game as your skill increases(the reason it’s been a Games "hall of fame" winner). Gary Gabrel, the creator, released both a wood and glass deluxe version board(rare) in the ’80’s- along with the regular tube & folding board sets. I’ve had ideas for my own boards(still keeping with the "ancient" classical Greek design)- including a faux white marble board w/ silver or gold grid lines. I think it could look quite nice!
