Transporting from growing house to egg laying house
Gathering
During the early night, a good while after the sky had become black, the lights came on. There was noise at one end of the house. Men dressed in uniform began to move about, scaring us away. Some wore protection covering there mouth and nose. Complaints could be heard by any new workers about the strong stench of our waste.
More men were coming in. They began to line up from one end of the house to the other. So that no one may pass them. Waving there arms frantically and Flashing lights, they started to move us. Everyone was running away. Some were passing them unnoticed. You could hear the men screaming, whistling, and clapping as they came towards us. Occasionally you would see someone unfortunate get murdered by them. Perhaps they were one of the lucky ones.
Large nets went up after we were gathered up in half of the house. We were crowded and scared. There was no where to hide except amongst our selves. You could get your head through the holes of the nets, but that was it. If stuck it out too long you would get a swift kick sending you flying back a good ten feet. All who were not gathered earlier were chased and thrown across the high nets, certain to break a leg or bruise badly. You could see the other side scattered with death on the ground and in the eyes of the Men.
All that filled our ears and theirs were cries of help, panic, pain, and death. They didn’t know our language, but they knew our cries. Filling there dark dreams every night. The same sounds, the same cries… “Help”.
The lights went out one by one. A second area was blocked off with nets along side of us. And again, we were all frightened away to make the room for it. The only lights that remained on were over top of us.
It was the opposite end this time that the Men began their blockade. Scaring us and flashing there little lights. It became so packed that we were jumping on top of each other just to get away. Another net went up behind us and looking back, there was darkness. All the lights had been turned off.
They now jumped in the area we were in. Every male was grabbed by the legs and thrown into the empty side next to us. Some times the Men would carry five of us at a time. Sometimes thrown over so far we would smack the wall before hitting the ground. One of us was taken and swung so hard against a post that when his head hit the post, it came off and sprayed blood from his neck. He was then thrown over with us. Laughing, the Men continued.
There were only females left now and it was still crowded. All lights were extinguished and one was replaced with a blue light. Everyone started to become calm. Some started to sleep again. And while we were almost blind to what was going on, the Men would grab seven legs. Sometimes they would grab more just to show off to the others. They would take them all after a while. Running out the door and return empty handed. Ready to grab more. Soon enough the area was empty and the net between it and any one remaining was dropped. Lights were turned on and more of us were herded into the enclosed area.
The process would be repeated over and over until all of us were sorted through and taken away. Not one could escape. All who were sick were now lying on the floor dead. Backs punched in to collapse the lungs, heads pulled to break the neck, or swung by the head in a deadly spin. They were professionals. These were Men of death and they had no mercy. They did not care. And then again, “Why should they?”
The lights came back on one by one and the Men started to prepare to handle us males. A table was set next too the door and four people stood behind it. Two Men jumped in with us and started to pick us up by both legs, two at a time. Handing us off to others outside of the netting, we were carried and then set on the table.
Still held at the legs and our stomachs against the table, we were dragged against it on an assembly line. While one of us was getting a shot of vitamins on the right, the other was getting plastic shoved through his nose, breaking the middle bridge of cartilage. We were then dragged on. The guy on the right was being shot with steroids and the other was getting the vitamins. Dragged again, steroids went into the guy on the left and the guy on the right went through the process of getting plastic shoved through his nose.
Off the table and carried out side, we were then thrown into a cage while a Man standing outside was counting how many of us went into each compartment. The lid would flip up, sometimes catching our heads so that we couldn’t pull them in. Hit in the head several times in this position would sometimes work, but often the lid was pulled back and pushed up again.
A great big machine lifted us up and carried us on a short bumpy ride. Then raising us higher and higher, we were set on other cages. An empty cage was pulled off and taken back to where we came from. The machine would come and go several times, and then it stopped.
The Men started to come out exhausted and dirty. They would wash there boots in special formulas and remove there gloves and breathing masks. Piled into a vehicle and take off. We started to move as well. Still not knowing what was happening and what would happen.
Drop-off
After what seemed an hour of twists and turns at high speeds, we finally came to a stop. It was still a long wait before anything else happened. Cages filled with males were unloaded and driven into a new house. This one was different. It had small compartments along the whole house on each side setting on a platform raised above the floor. It was bright inside and had windows high above each side.
We were driven in only a quarter of the way into the house. All compartments of the cages were opened and the cage was tilted. We slid out with nothing to hold on too. and those who did were pulled out with the amazing force of the Men. Any one attempting to run back were kicked, pulled, or thrown back. Sometimes killed even.
The vehicle moved out and came back with more several times. After its last time, it returned with females. A large board was placed in front of the cage and as the vehicle pushed forward, the board would push the wood carvings on the ground ahead of it in a large pile that most of us would dare not go near.
The vehicle then stopped and backed up right outside of the house. Two large tables were set up on each side of the isle in front of the raised platforms where the Men would sit. Medicine and vitamins were attached to guns with needles and ready to go.
Sounds of metal could be heard as the top three compartments were opened on each side. They were grabbed at the legs, two at a time, and dragged to the tables. The same process we males went through, the females were going through. Screaming as they were pricked by the guns and disposing of waste on the Men. Only, they didn’t get any plastic through there nose. When the Men were finished each one, they threw them over the compartments on the sides and the females landed on the other side. Crying in pain and fright.
We males would watch as the Men displayed different types of death in front of us. The deadly spin, where they would grab the head and spin the body around and around until a snap in the neck was heard. The last breath, where they would hold back the shoulders and with great force, hit the back side. This was the most fearful way to die. She was screaming and shaking about frantically. Blood came out of her mouth and nose, drowning out her cries. Still, she kept moving, not going anywhere. And then she died.
The cages would empty and be replaced. The pile of death grew. And finally, at the end of it all, the Men got up. They gathered there tables and medicine and left. The large doors were closed. And now, the sun began to rise and we were happy.
